This project took inspiration from real pirates of the Caribbean in the 17-18th century.
The brief was to design three idiot pirate brothers in semi-real cartoon style with the Big, Thin, Short trio trope, so my approach was to create an ensemble with a comical dynamic that their goals are completely different from one another’s yet they always stick together. And so for the brothers, distinguished primary shapes and color schemes are used to illustrate the contrast in their appearances as well as their role in the gang.

Here, the brothers are seen struggling to win an arm-wrestling match on their own board with some ghost pirates they met along the way. The gang always get caught in comical circumstances though it may seem absurd to the viewers, it is just another Tuesday for them.
